If you search for tranquility and  for natural beauty, a place that helps you to relax from the fast pace of life, then the ideal destination is Anafi. Here the sensation of the time flows slowly.


It is situated on the south eastern side of Cyclades, close to Santorini. According  to the legend , Anafi was created by an ancient  Greek God ,Apollo as a gift to Jason and the Argonauts.

How to get there

By boat

Anafi is connected with the port of Piraeus. Your trip can be with a conventional ferry boat, or a high speed depending on the day, the time and the ferry company you wish  to travel with.


Accommodation

The only village and capital of the island is Chora .There you can find simple apartments and rooms. What they offer are the essential basics. You will feel very calm, relaxed and peaceful.


Beaches

The truth is that Anafi hasn’t at its disposal  organized beaches with facilities. But you can enjoy the simplicity and calmness of dreamy sandy beaches with crystal-clear blue-green water and virgin beauty. Some of them are:

Megas Potamos

It is located in the southern part of the island, between  the hills of Kasteli and of Chalepa, attract lots of visitors every summer.

Kleisidi

The beach of Kleisidi is located at a very small distance from Chora and has an excellent sandy beach. Traditional taverns surround the main road to the beach.

Megalos Roukounas

Megalos Roukounas is the most popular sandy beach on the entire island, and one of the most frequently visited places for tourists in the summer months.

Of course there are a few more tranquil beaches in Anafi. Get ready for exploration and feel the touch of sun and the picturesque view of Aegean sea.

The Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi


It is located on the eastern side of the island on the top of the hill and it is also known as Panagia Kalamiotissa .From this spot the visitor can admire the gorgeous view of the island and the sea.
